I'm a mixed-media artist drawn to creating pieces that feel both grounded and expressive. My work often reflects moments of stillness, emotion, and transformation 2014what I like to think of as the quiet spaces where growth happens. I'm inspired by nature, energy, and the unseen connections that shape our lives. Creating art is not just something I do 2014it's how I process, heal, and connect.

I wanted to share my latest artwork with you. Most of this piece was painted using my fingers instead of a brush, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process of painting in such a unique way. My love for colors and creation often inspires me to try different methods to create art.

Title or Location: Devi
Inspired and deeply moved by the divine presence of the Indian Goddess Devi, this pencil sketch was brought to life as a heartfelt expression of devotion, strength, and spiritual beauty. Through every stroke and detail, the intention was to capture the serene aura, grace, and pure bliss that Devi embodies. This artwork reflects not only her powerful energy and feminine divinity, but also the sense of peace, inspiration, and inner connection she awakens within the soul.

Title or Location: Don?t Blame the Moon
This is one of many 3-d paintings I have done here and in Paris, France (where I lived for 27 years). It is 4x4 foot and made from various types of clay, mat board, gauze, canvas, brass and painted with acrylic paint. I distort the perspective of the room to echo the shape and position of the subject much in a cubist manner. The central figure is also cubist in design with a play between concave and convex. This work is cubist in design but emotion is a strong element- cubist surrealism.

Title or Location: Colorado Streams
As we stepped out of the restaurant, that afternoon the sun lit up the stream that wound its way behind the building. A handful of people were already fishing, lines resting quietly on the water. Off to the side, a young boy had just begun. He sat with quiet focus, carefully setting up to bait his hook before his first cast. There was an unhurried peace about it, the shimmer of sunlight on the water, the murmur of the stream, and the stillness of a moment just about to begin. ?Colorado Streams?

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
